Amsterdam in the rain is a different city: quieter streets, steamy café windows, and rooms built for lingering. Start at the Rijksmuseum. The Night Watch is the obvious draw, but the building itself is the point on a wet day — long galleries, a covered courtyard, and enough Dutch Masters to outlast a North Sea shower. When you want a pause, walk to OBA Oosterdok. The central library is free to enter, with reading rooms and a café looking over the harbour. It is the rare indoor stop that still feels like being in the city. Finish in the Jordaan at Winkel 43 for apple pie. Noordermarkt is close, the room is small, and nobody minds if you stay until the rain eases.
